In October 2022, the municipality of Syke organised a climate-focused youth exchange with teenagers from Al Hoceima and Syke.
Participants completed environmental workshops, created social-media activities to raise awareness and helped establish a garden at a local school.
The programme also included a conference attended by representatives of the German Foreign Ministry and the Moroccan Embassy, along with educational visits including Klimahaus Bremerhaven.
The exchange strengthened communication skills, shared experience and friendship between the young participants.
